TRIP #3 · 876 WORDS · A 3.5-MINUTE READ The full calendar | | | | THE CAMPFIRE | | | This is a Quiet Hours week. The sweep came back with five things worth printing and no reason to pretend it found twelve, so the letter is short. Quilts hang outdoors in Lehi Friday, and a train exhibit runs into Monday. Mett cuts a ribbon on its first storefront on Merchant Street in American Fork on Friday, 10am to 5pm. Free yoga starts at seven tonight at Lindon City Center Park. Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Friday. |
| | | | THIS WEEK'S ITINERARY | | | TRAILHEAD Garden of Quilts, Friday and SaturdayQuilts go up outdoors in Ashton Gardens on Friday. The show is called Garden of Quilts, and it runs Friday and Saturday at 3900 N Garden Drive in Lehi. Friday's forecast has showers and thunderstorms likely, so bring a jacket. Classes, demonstrations and trunk shows run alongside the quilts on both days. Admission is $35 general for ages 3 and up, and $10 for Thanksgiving Point members. One ticket covers the whole day, 9am to 8pm, both Friday and Saturday. Of everything on the board, this is the one I would send a first-time visitor to first, and it is not close. It is a garden walk that happens to have quilts hanging in it, and it is over by Saturday night. |

OPEN SLOT Fueled by nobody yet. Nobody has bought this slot, so the label says so. When someone does, the tag stays on it every week. If you run something between Lehi and Pleasant Grove and want a paragraph written in this voice, email the desk. We only take the ones we would tell a neighbor about. |

| | | | THE LOOKOUT | | | Friday is the wet one. The Lehi forecast issued at 12:36 today calls for 75 degrees with showers and thunderstorms likely. This afternoon ran 83, and tonight drops to 56 with showers possible. Roads are dry. The 5:12pm read from UDOT road conditions had I-15 from Point of the Mountain to Orem dry, SR-92 from I-15 to Highland dry, and American Fork Canyon dry. No alerts are active for Lehi or Timpanogos Cave. The Alpine Loop gate is open, and SR-92 over to Sundance is dry and fair. Redwood Road has two work zones, one closing a lane and the right shoulder and one the left, planned through Wednesday September 30. |
| | | | MAIL CALL | | | Quiet weeks are when the tip line earns its keep. If you know something between Lehi and Pleasant Grove that lives on a flyer and never reaches a city calendar, send it over. A date and an address are enough. A photo helps. What is the one Thanksgiving Point day you would tell a new family about first? |
| | | | LIGHTS OUT | | | I have not been through the Thomas exhibit and cannot tell you whether a four-year-old lasts six hours in it. My guess is ninety minutes and I would like to be wrong. The quilts I am doing Friday morning, rain and all. I will be there early. Which Ashton Gardens week would you pick, the quilts or the flowers? Forward the Camper to whoever does the Saturday planning in your group text. See you at the gardens. |
